We Are All In His Hands..This is an acrylic on canvas.

This painting took me a lot of time and even turmoil to complete and, in fact, I really don't feel I finished it, but it reached that point where it just didn't feel right to keep going. A close friend said to me, "it's finished", and I had to agree. I have shared very little of my "serious" pieces in this format. Usually I just show family or friends, perhaps someone that brings up something in conversation. I never felt "good enough", in years past. I come from a very talented family of artists and musicians, singers, etc. I compared myself to others all of my life. It took a contest to drive me to put these online. My heart goes into the pieces that I paint, like this one. The scripture for this painting is, "Just as the body, though one, has many parts but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ". For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body--whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free-- and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up on one part but of many.I Corinthians 12:12-14 New International Version)

So, that being said, if we are all one body, one moving, living, breathing form, then we all have a purpose and they should not be compared but the differences celebrated, for they serve the need of the area that we are placed. Be thankful to God for His gifts, the talents that He has given you, for the ability that is different and not always seen as normal or accepted. God has a plan, and that plan is perfect!! I love that we are ALL one. We need to find ways to join together and not separate ourselves, share love, build one another up, support and not tear down. "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23 NIV) and "A new command I give you: Love one anoher. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34 NIV).
