The Desert Season

I have had a heaviness off and on for several days...I don't believe it is all about me or what I am dealing with. I have seen a seed in the ground. I have felt led several times to continue to encourage those of you who are in a dark, lonely, and quiet season. You may feel unfruitful right now. You may feel like you should be producing more than you are, seeing more than you are, and growing faster than you are, but be encouraged, the seed is doing something that isn't seen before it springs forth as a plant. It is being broken down and prepared in the ground, deep under the surface. Often the most incredible times of growth are in the desert seasons. The incubation period. Jesus went to the desert before He was released into ministry. (See Matthew 4) Why shouldn't you have a desert season too?

I kept hearing overflow today. I saw a great wave. A wave of love, provision, power, and refreshing. He is washing away what has hindered you. He is removing the outer layer and exposing more of who you really are. He is preparing you to break forth. This dark time is not forever, it is a season. Very soon things are going to spring forth that have been hidden. That well that He has been digging will reach a fountain that will spring forth. That seed that has been planted will break through the ground and grow quickly. Hold on and press into Him. Submit and receive all that He has for you during this season. Leave behind that shell you have been carrying because He is doing a new thing. Just like the caterpillar you will look new.

Isaiah 42:9-10

9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,

Now I declare new things;

Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”

10 Sing to the Lord a new song,

Sing His praise from the end of the earth!

You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it.

You islands, and those who dwell on them.

He hasn't left you, He is transforming you. Just a little longer. He loves you so much! Seek His face, desire His time, His voice, and His presence above all else. Lift up the name of Jesus! Praise Him with all that you are and all that you have and see what happens!
