Understanding Majesty

This line of thought has come to me before but returns again today. Our lack of understanding of monarchy, authority, and subjection here in the USA has been a downfall in many ways. Before you assume something negative, let me explain.

According to insight.org the word majesty, translated majestic is a superlative, meaning "mightier than everything else".

We do not automatically understand what is is to have a Lord and to be subject to Him fully. Our culture here looks to self--self reliant, self worth, responsible to and for self. The humanistic ideals cloud our view of the truth. We are part of a whole. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, "for even as the body is one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spsirit we are all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we are all made to drink of one Spirit." (NASB) When we are in Christ we are part of His body. He is the head- in charge. He decides our movements. He takes His instruction from the Father. We are all part of one another. But God gives us a choice. For the body to function as it should, in unity as one, we must all submit to His plan, His authority. His will and not our own.

Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (NASB)

We must not seek our own ways, we must look to God and follow His statues. For the ways of man lead to sin and to death but the ways of God to life eternal. Ephesians 5:27, "that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless." (NASB)

This takes a change in mindset. A new way of thinking apart from what the world teaches us. We ar no longer our own. We are His. He is the most majestic and perfect King and Father as well. He is friend, confident, Teacher, Comforter, God is ALL in ALL!

HE is to be revered, reverenced, feared, respected, loved. adored, sought after, worshipped, and obeyed. This is not a chore. This is a pleasure, a privelage, an honor to do for One so loving and merciful.

While you may disagree, because of things you have seen or experienced here in this world, your eyes and emotions can deceive you.

There are endless times He has saved us from harm, we did not even know about. He has given us such mercy and grace when we did not deserve it. The brutality endured by Christ during His time here with us, was not deserved by Hiim, but by us. These things eximplify His deep love for us.

We would be nothing, have nothing, and know nothing aside from God and His love. He sent us the Comforter. The Holy Spirit that is ever present and so loving, so generous, so patient, so kind.

Jesus did not leave us here alone, but we have The Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Truth that leads us to the knowledge of God and of Christ Jesus. See John 16.

Thanks be to God our Father for His perfect plan. John 16:13-14 (Jesus speaking), "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you." (NASB)

The God of all creation loves you with an everlasting love. He deserves praise, adoration, obedience, and honor. Ask that He open your eyes to the truth of who He is and How much He loves you. The Holy Spirit is here to lead you into all truth and to help you as you walk out God's plan for your life.

His majesy is beautiful!

In His love,

Charissa
