Rejoice!!!

ree

This has been a very interesting time. There have been so many things happening at once. Good things, challenging things, concerning things, and sad things. This is life here on earth. I try to see the good in the situation and not allow the enemy to take my emotions on a runaway train. Today is the day after my 50th birthday. I should be grateful for every day, but my thoughts and words do not always reflect that. I was led into prayer in the Spirit several times over the last few days. Today even more so than others. This is not uncommon, I believe we should pray in the Spirit daily and without ceasing. Staying in constant communion with God is vital. But, today I began to pray and cry, it felt like something was terribly wrong. This is not unheard of when you intercede and there are times that you do not know what you are interceding for but of course, I checked on my youngest son who is working out of town, and he is fine. My oldest is here with me, he is fine. My parents are all fine.

I am sharing this because I was led to. I came in to take some time alone and began to pour out all that I was feeling for whatever was happening at the moment and then as I released all of that it was as though everything I was trying so hard to be ok with began to flood out of me. I heard, "This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it", Psalm 118:24. (NASB 1995).

I was convicted of agreeing that some days were just "one of those days". Days that are difficult, physically, emotionally, etc. That is not the attitude to have even if it is what I see and feel. I am to REJOICE in the day of the Lord. And every day that I am given is His to use and fill with His presence, His plan, His goodness, and His will. I can rejoice, He is in control and He loves me. Even when the day is hard, I must agree with His view.

The enemy wants us to fall into self-pity, worry, fear, and doubt. I tell these things to go away more lately than ever before. We do not need to allow them to stay. These are spiritual attacks and the enemy loves it when we buy in a start battling ourselves as if it is all our problem.

PSALM 118 Thanksgiving for the LordsSaving Goodness. 1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. 2 Oh let Israel say, “His lovingkindness is everlasting.” 3 Oh let the house of Aaron say, “His lovingkindness is everlasting.” 4 Oh let those who fear the Lord say, “His lovingkindness is everlasting.” 5 From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and set me in a large place. 6 The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me? 7 The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me. 8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man. 9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes. 10 All nations surrounded me; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off. 11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off. 12 They surrounded me like bees; They were extinguished as a fire of thorns; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off. 13 You pushed me violently so that I was falling, But the Lord helped me. 14 The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. 15 The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. 16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. 17 I will not die, but live, And tell of the works of the Lord. 18 The Lord has disciplined me severely, But He has not given me over to death. 19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the Lord. 20 This is the gate of the Lord; The righteous will enter through it. 21 I shall give thanks to You, for You have answered me, And You have become my salvation. 22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone. 23 This is the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. 25 O Lord, do save, we beseech You; O Lord, we beseech You, do send prosperity! 26 Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. 27 The Lord is God, and He has given us light; Bind the festival sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You. 29 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting, (NASB 1995).

Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice", (NASB 1995).

I find that pouring my emotions, and my concerns out to the Lord as an offering, is cleansing, and releasing those things to Him is necessary. If you need to willingly release something several times a day, do that. And then rejoice in the day, in His presence, and in His goodness. Give Him praise. He deserves it and the enemy hates it. It is a weapon and it brings us into His presence. Psalms 100:4, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name" (NASB 1995).

No matter what today brings, do not agree with the enemy, today is a day to praise God and rejoice.

I love you,

Charissa
