Giving In

Take a look at the picture, do you see the "wave" pattern? It hit me as I looked at the sand, how amazing the wind can be! The sand can be moved in the direction that the wind wants and it makes a beautiful pattern along the way. Now, if someone builds a castle or other figure out of the sand and packs it in hard with water creating a firm form...the sand is not so easily moved. How many of us have packed ourselves into walls? Life hits and pain comes and we build and build until we are surrounded by a fortress!! When the wind of life comes perhaps it dries us out, maybe a crack or a piece falls off...it is not at all graceful. It is painful and messy because we are fighting to stay in our safe place. What would happen if we gave in? Let the true "Wind", The Holy Spirit, have His way in our lives. He has a wonderful way of tearing down the walls...even if it looks messy. But once the walls are down and we "give in" to His control, we are easily moved in the way He wants us to go. Our lives flow along and a beautiful pattern emerges. His plan is amazing....each grain can not see the whole picture....but from above the picture that begins to form is fluid and purposeful. We can get from where we were imprisoned to where we move in freedom with the Father!!! Isn't that freedom and beauty what we all search after?

In order to be free, you must ask Him to help you to heal and release the things that are holding you back. Forgive those that you have come to hate, especially yourself. Ask Him to help you see the situation as He sees it...to see others through His eyes....and yourself. This is seeing the truth and not believing the lies of the enemy. Once you see the truth, you have the choice to let go...or keep hiding in your "safe place". The place that is actually a prison, not allowing you to grow beyond the walls you have built. When you let go of control and let Him have His way....the healing is available...the freedom comes and you can move with the "Wind".
