Answered Prayer

I needed to share a quick update of recent events. When God’s hand is at work, amazing things happen.

Let me backtrack a bit. At the age of 13 I knew that I was called to ministry...I had a vision. But I didn’t have a full picture.

At 18 I saw a movie that seemed to speak to a part of me, the feeling stayed with me. The movie was set in Africa and the main character fought to right the wrongs taking place. I never forgot the feeling I had when I saw it. I actually looked it up and watched it again just recently.

In my 20’s I knew at some point there would be full time ministry and a lot of travel in my future.

In my 30’s I realized that I would indeed HAVE to go to Africa, something inside will not rest until I do. There are other places I feel called to go to...but Africa is engrained in me.

The week of May 13th, 2019, early in the week I clearly had an answer to a prayer that has been ongoing for many years. I wasn’t asking at the time...it was out if the blue. God said that the next trip to Africa is mine. Our church leaders go most every year in October. Sure enough on Sunday, May 19th pastor announced the trip to Africa for this coming October.

I have been in a very stressful financial situation due to some changes. The same week God laid my family on the heart of a close friend who called with the desire to help us. I cried and thanked God, even though it is hard to say yes. I went into this to let you know where I was mentally and financially when I signed up for the trip that morning in faith.

God knew exactly what I had and didn’t have. If I was to go, the money was going to have to come one way or another. I started to think of ways to raise money, get sponsors, earn extra...etc. The following Tuesday as I sat at my desk at work, I received a text from Zelle. (The company that is used by banks and businesses to move money.) The text said that my previous insurance company sent me a $500 refund for a deductible!!! I was excited..as I needed extra to pay bills....it only took moments for the Holy Spirit to tap me and say “you know what that is?” Oh my!!!!! I really teared up! That was the exact amount of the first deposit for the trip, not even due until the middle of July!!! Two days and I had it!! I have already paid my deposit! Confirmation that this was what He wanted. I can’t wait to see what happens!!!! I know that He is aligning things in my life that I have prayed about for years.

If you are in a place where you feel forgotten, rejoice as if you have the answers to the prayers that you have been believing for. Be excited!! Keep praying and watch what God does! Don’t give up!!!! ❤👍💪👊
